Hello, readers. I apologize for the horrible lack of updates. Most of our people aren’t in the country right now. One is in Africa. One is in Italy. And I’ve been getting used to a new work schedule at a new job. We will return in full force by the end of June though, so please, join our facebook page and follow us on twitter. We’ll have some really great events, applications, and specials later this summer.
Thanks for reading, and continue to email us at EatMeNashville@gmail.com with your own specials, events, and general information on Nashville goings-on.
Ciao,
Matthew King, EatMeNashville@gmail.com
I’m a little late on the draw for this one, but there’s another two hours to try to get reservations for one of the best meals I’ve seen offered in quite some time. (Hint:: Hot quail, Prince’s style is part of the meal.)
tayst will be closing from May 28th until June 8th for renovations, but Jeremy Barlow and his crew aren’t going to let that stop them from having a huge blow-out dinner before that happens. “The Last Supper” is tonight at 7:30PM at tayst and includes 10 courses at $95 per person. ($30 for the optional wine pairings.)
With items like shrimp beignets, bacon avocado ice cream, drunken pork belly, and hot quail (Prince’s style!), there’s no doubt that Barlow has all creative engines burning hot.
The full menu can be found here.
Also, Tayst will be celebrating it’s re-opening on Tuesday, June 8th with an “Extreme Makeover” themed, 5-course dinner.More on that later this week.

Yo yo yo. Today is the birthday of the Buddha. Why not celebrate by eating vegetarian? The Wild Cow in East Nashville starts their new buffalo tempeh “wings.”
Or you could go try out Woodlands on West End for some great vegetarian Indian fare.
Either way, tonigh is Tayst’s last night before they close for renovations, so you might want to go say hi and get a nice meal before it changes forever (to be even better)!
Specials after the break.
