One of the Gulch’s finest restaurants and one of the better chain restaurants ever created, Urban Flats has just the thing to make your Wednesday nights a little better.
For just $20 you get 8 half glasses of wine and unlimited appetizers. Half of the restaurant is closed off from 5-9pm for the event and there is room for everyone with patio seating (Weather permitting, naturally). Food is served from 5-8pm and wine is served from 5-9pm. Hors d’oeuvres include 4 signature flats (rotated throughout the night), pasta salad, fruit platters and more. Urban Flats will give you 8 drink tickets, which are redeemable at the bar for half glasses of wine. I was sitting around at work yesterday talking to my co-worker when I heard the magic sentence, “It’s like Groupons, but for wine.” She was talking about the website Wine Till Sold Out. Selling boxes of wine at 30-70% off store and internet prices, it’s an amazing deal. ANNNND! They deliver in Tennessee. (Are they allowed to do that?)
Anywho, check it out. I order my first box today. Shipping is free so long as you buy their “minimum.” You can buy less than the minimum but charges apply.
They go through a couple bottles of wine a day, so check back regularly. The syrah I wanted to order this morning wasn’t still there when I went back after noon. When one bottle sells out, they move to another. Genius.
