tayst will be closing from May 28th until June 8th for renovations, but Jeremy Barlow and his crew aren’t going to let that stop them from having a huge blow-out dinner before that happens. “The Last Supper” is tonight at 7:30PM at tayst and includes 10 courses at $95 per person. ($30 for the optional wine pairings.)

With items like shrimp beignets, bacon avocado ice cream, drunken pork belly, and hot quail (Prince’s style!), there’s no doubt that Barlow has all creative engines burning hot.

Also, Tayst will be celebrating it’s re-opening on Tuesday, June 8th with an “Extreme Makeover” themed, 5-course dinner.More on that later this week.

Happy graduation, all you crazy degree-holders. You probably feel more broke than you did before, so here’s your Sunday food and drink special update. We’ve been slacking hardcore lately on these, but pretty soon these updates will be obsolete and you’ll all have a pretty new toy to play with.

My recommendation is Local Taco’s Pepper Steak Taco oooor a pizza at Holland House. I haven’t gotten to try one yet, but I definitely will be soon.

As things begin to get back to normal in our fair city, our local restaurants (and even some local chains) have banded together to make sure that we don’t forget that people still need our help. On May 17th, Eat Out for Nashville’s participating restaurants will be donating 50% of your checks to the Tennessee Emergency Response Fund of the Community Fund of Middle Tennessee.
