Hope everyone is doing okay out there today. Thankfully the rain has stopped but there are still some heavy flooded areas around town.

Check out Nashvillest as a great up to date resource for flood information. They’ve been staying on top of every bit of news like no one else I’ve seen, especially the news. Yay for twitter and blogs.

Also…there are some flood reliefs efforts going on today. Get out there and do what you can to help those in need!!

Hug an Australian Day? I don’t know enough Australians in Nashville, so I’m declaring it Hug a Non-Musician day. Yea, that’s right. I said it. Non-musicians need some loving too.

Anywho, Monday is my favorite day of the week. Why? Because it’s my day off and I get Mas Tacos and coffee to start my day and dance at the 5 Spot to end my day.

Where are you going to be tonight? Check out Melrose Billiards for 2-for-1s all night. $3 for a Gerst on a normal night, so that evens out to $1.50 a drink! Also, you can play shuffleboard, pool, or ping-pong while you sip your drinks.

And don’t forget to get your reservations for tomorrow’s Dining Out For Life. Most restaurants in town are donating a portion of every check to charity. Check that link for more info.

As always, the updates are after the break. Tell us if we miss anything.

It’s National Garlic Day! Like any true Sicilian or food lover, I’m pretty excited.

It’s a beautiful day in Nashville, regardless of whether or not it’s a Monday. Fighting the Monday blues?

Get yourself down to Grimey’s and get some lovely, cheap music! 10 % off preloved cds that need some more love.

Mondays mean we’ve got a long week ahead of us. I’m going to mentally and physically prepare myself with some Mas Tacos in 5 points today.

The truck will be there at noon…and I’ll be ready. More updates after our break…

Stay wavy, Nashville. – Aileen

Well, it’s Monday again. Monday means work and class for the next five days. Need something to fight the Monday drag? Yeah, me too. Since it’s still before noon, I won’t suggest hitting up happy hour…Yet.

What I do suggest is a morning cup of coffee. Head to Casablanca in the Gulch for a muffin and coffee for on 2.50. Not cheap enough? How about free coffee on Mondays from Dunkin Donuts? See? Monday isn’t so bad.

If it’s a lunch date you’re looking for, why not try out Fiddlecakes? Buy a sandwich and get the second one half price.

Don’t let Monday win, check out the rest of today’s specials and tell your friends.

Keep up the good fight, Nashvillains. – Aileen Continue reading »
